Job Summary

This role works closely with the department Director and Engagement Coordinator on LMC programs and initiative that will continue to drive culture and employee experience. They are responsible for the full coordination of the organization's New Employee Orientation programs, as well as all employee experiences and first impressions during the orientation process. They respond to face-to-face inquiries and in-person employee concerns in support of an overall positive employee experience that aligns with the LMC Culture. This entails planning of employee engagement events, focus groups & workshops, and all employee spotlight, engagement, and retention programs. 

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent 
Minimum Years of Experience: 3 Years of Clerical or Operational Experience in a Professional Business Office, HR, or Training Department Setting (Demonstrated Direct Customer Service Experience Interacting with Employees at All Levels)
Substitutable Education & Experience (Optional): 3 Years of experience can be substituted for an Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or Equivalent completion of college coursework and 2 Years of Clerical or Operational Experience in a Professional Business Office, HR, or Training Department Setting (Demonstrated Direct Customer Service Experience Interacting with Employees at All Levels)
Required Certifications/Licensure: None.
Required Training: Must have Excellent Written & Verbal Communication skills with a strong emphasis on Grammar and Professionalism;

Experienced in Training and HR systems;

Operating experience of a multi-line phone and/or switchboard;

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook PDF's and data entry.
 

Essential Functions

  • Provides customer service to all internal and external customers.
  • Works collaboratively with other members of the HR, Staff Development, Engagement, Guest Services, and other teams to ensure adherence to service and ensure the highest level of  employee & customer experiences.
  • Facilitates requests for employee development programs across the Hospital and Network, conduct and assists with initial training needs assessments to triage, determine training programs and classes, and perform one-on-one coaching and counseling where appropriate.
  • Support employees with information related to LMC policies and procedures.
  • Manages inventory, supply, and ordering for the department and all training programs.
  • Assists in the coordination of employee events, set up, catering, planning, and scheduling.
  • Assists in new hire calls & communication prior to LMC's virtual Orientation and other programs.
  • Ensures the successful completion of New Hire processes. Coordinates new hire paperwork, ID badges, parking permits etc..
  • Works closely with Trainers to maintain/update Staff Development calendar and training statuses. Partners with Trainers regarding scheduling and managing of all training classes.
  • Provides occasional support to the Director of Staff Development with training programs and other LMC events, as well as the Assistant Director of Guest Services on Patient Experience programs as needed.
  • Assists with supporting LMC Care Cart supplies, scheduled department visits, and inventory of care and comfort items for LMC employees.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinates all training program logistics from set up to invitations and all program details from inception to conclusion. Coordinates and assists with training rosters, class rolls, and attendance.
  • Partners with Engagement Coordinator on LMC's Code Lavender services around the LMC Hospital & Network.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of LMC's Serenity Cove space in the main Hospital and works closely with off campus leadership to manage and maintain all other available LMC Serenity Cove spaces.
  • Updates and maintains Staff Development webpage on Lexie.
  • May support the training team by facilitating of some components of New Employee Orientation from time-to-time.
  • Works closely with Engagement Coordinator on Employee Spotlight programs.
  • Able to facilitate and communicate to individuals or groups (i.e., organizes communication; adjusts to audience; ensures understanding; comprehends communication from others).
  • Maintains the LMC standards in professional appearance and presentation.
  • Assures the LMC standards for atmosphere & environment.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
