Job Summary
To manage the daily operations of inpatient rehabilitation services, provide operational assistance to outpatient as needed, and ensure provision of quality health care services to our customers. Services provided include Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy to restore optimal function and independence after injury or disease. Coordinates the daily activities of patient care in this facility.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Education: Master’s Degree in Relevant Field
Minimum Years of Experience: 3 Years of clinical experience during which supervisory skills have been demonstrated.
Substitutable Education & Experience: None.
Required Certifications/Licensure: Currently licensed as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Language Pathologist in the State of South Carolina;
CPR certification.
Required Training: Possess advanced clinical skills and problem solving management skills

- Collaborates with staff, leaders, physicians and patient/family members to promote quality patient care and to pursue continual improvement of services.
- Knowledgeable of best practice and changes affecting practice. Develops/implements plans for improvement with Director.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assists Director in development of operating and capital budgets.
- Serves as a positive change agent and role model.
- Identifies opportunities for improvement, involves staff and other leaders in establishing improvement plan and leads implementation process.

- Assists Director in development of department goals, Performance Improvement Plan, and involves staff. Will assist with monitoring, evaluating and improving indicators.

- Represents department on various hospital/health district committees as assigned.
- Maintains accurate policies and procedures.
- Participates in professional organization and/or activities pertinent to area.
- Delivers messages effectively through oral and written communication. Shares knowledge and expertise with others.
- Efficient and timely communication of information to staff, peers and other leaders
- Hospital wide responsibilities:
- Meets all requirements as defined by LMC policies.
- Completes yearly safety training and other mandatory classes.
- Completes employee health workup.
- Meets department attendance requirements.
- Maintains CPR certification
- Will provide, coordinate, monitor and assure delivery of patient care to achieve clinical outcomes.
- Demonstrates age-specific competence to provide developmentally appropriate care/treatment for the following patient population:
- Infant (Birth to 1 year)
- Child (1 year through 12 years)
- Adolescent (13 years through 17 years)
- Adult (18 years to 65 years)
- Geriatric (over 65 years).
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
