Job Summary

The Procurement Contract Manager is responsible for working with Lexington's in house Legal team to confirm and validate pricing on all agreements, developing a contract strategy, performs local contract negotiations, GPO authorization and GPO tier selection. Ensuring the ERP system has accurate pricing and contract term lengths are correctly loaded into the ERP system. Position utilizes the Value Analysis/New Products Committees to entertain new agreements, identify savings and promote standardization when applicable. Areas of oversight includes Procurement Contract Analysts, Value Analysis Coordinator and Committees.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance 
Minimum Years of Experience: 3 Years of Equivalent Management Experience 
Substitutable Education & Experience (Optional): A Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of management experience can be substituted for an Associate's and 5 Years of Equivalent Management Experience 
Required Certifications/Licensure: None.
Required Training: Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes. Thorough understanding of organization products and logistics;
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers;
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
Working experience of relevant software (e.g. ERP MM). Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Essential Functions

  • Hiring and training new staff.
  • Oversees the daily workflow and schedules of the department.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with LMC policy.
  • Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain.
  • Establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors 
    affecting the contract accuracy.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for GPO and local contract analytics, GPO contract activations and GPO contract tier management.
  • Ensuring items in ERP system are linked to a contract and reflect the time frame for the contract length.
  • Meeting with GPO representatives and vendor representatives to ensure an accurate understanding of pricing.
  • Utilizes pricing benchmark tools to include GPOs, ECRI and Md Buyline to validate pricing is adequate for organization.
  • Negotiates pricing when market shows opportunities for savings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
