Job Summary

The primary focus of the Procurement Contract Analyst position is to support the Procurement Contract Manager by providing support in implementing the GPO and hospital-wide contracts. This position will include researching GPO contract opportunities, calculate market share penetration for tier level suggestions, use benchmark data tools to analyze pricing as compared to national benchmarks and provide the resources necessary for activations decisions of contracts. Identification and analysis of opportunities to establish contractual relationships with suppliers of products and services used by the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Management Science, Business Administration, or Other Related Field 
Minimum Years of Experience: 5 Years of Related Experience
Substitutable Education & Experience (Optional): The following combinations will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree with 5 Years: 
Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Management Science, or Business Administration with 10 Years of Experience in Health Care Supply Chain Management;
Master's Degree in Related Field.
Required Certifications/Licensure: None.
Required Training: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills and strong computer skills and in-depth knowledge including Excel, Work and PowerPoint.

Essential Functions

  • Provide analysis for contract compliance, supply utilization and opportunities to maximize standardization for necessary actions taken by Value Analysis Committee.
  • Assisting the Contract Manager in working with GPOs, vendors and customer requests.
  • Researching information on products to provide support for discussion on proposed contracts.
  • Ability to work with vendors in obtain information on products and services being discussed.
     

Duties & Responsibilities

  •  Using GPO websites tools to identify, benchmark and extract relevant information.
  • Working with our legal department to answer and requests for information off of GPOs website or directly with the vendor.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
