Job Summary

Under direct supervision of the PACS Administrator, the PACS Application Analyst will provide support for Radiology and other Ancillary Information Systems(Nuance, TeraRecon,ect) including but not limited to the performing daily maintenance and completion of assigned system maintenance duties, support during application installation and testing, problem resolution as needed , and assisting with data extraction and manipulation as needed for various metrics and initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Education: Associate's Degree or higher in Radiology, PACS, or Information Technology or Healthcare Administration
Minimum Years of Experience: 4 Years of clinical experience in Radiology, working with EMR, PACS and other radiologic applications
Substitutable Education & Experience: Associate's Degree can be substituted for 3 year of previous experience unless experience supersedes education
Required Certifications/Licensure: None.
Required Training: Possesses PC skills with the ability to load software, execute the software, troubleshoot and support end users;
Knowledge of Radiology/Imaging operations and workflow for all areas including radiologists, technologist and end user staff.

Essential Functions

  • Performs daily maintenance and completion of assigned system maintenance duties.
  • Provides support during application installation and testing to ensure systems function properly.
  • Provides problem resolution as needed in a timely manner.
  • Assists with data extraction and manipulation as needed for various metrics and initiatives.
  • Supports PACS administrator.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoots systems to meet functional needs, streamline operations, and ensure patient safety and confidentiality.
  • Technical and clerical duties required in conjunction with the above responsibilities.
  • Responsible for operational excellence to ensure delivery of quality services in accordance with applicable policies and procedures and to meet the needs of the radiologists.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of Epic/Radiant and other systems within the Radiology Department to independently address issues and deliver clear communication and documentation of complex concepts and issues related to all applications used in Radiology.
