Job Summary

The Director Financial and Supply Chain Management (FSCM) establishes, plans and administers the overall policies and goals of the Information Technology Services (ITS) Department; assess the current Financial and Supply Chain information systems organization and technology and work collaboratively with the executive management team to ensure an organizational structure, systems infrastructure, governance and business direction to guide future information technology investments; maximize the effectiveness of installed systems and foster an environment of continual process improvement. Exercise agility to react quickly to changes in external regulations and technology advances. Demonstrates mastery in leading projects related to data integrity, system enhancement, testing upgrades, troubleshooting, reporting, and analytics.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Science, Accounting, Business Administration, or Related Field
Minimum Years of Experience: 5 Years of Direct Experience in IT Management in a Medium to Large Organization

Required Certifications/Licensure: None.
Required Training: Must exhibit efficiency, collaboration, candor, and results orientation. Ability to
exercise good judgment and political astuteness;

Demonstrated ability to structure, drive and manage projects with complex multi-disciplinary issues to closure with minimal direction;

Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills;

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills;

A thorough knowledge of Financial Supply Chain Management or financial applications;
Good understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Essential Functions

  • Works with IT leadership to develop work plans defining tasks, target dates, level of efforts, resources required, skills required, etc..
  • Works with IT leadership to actively participate in decision-making to change or modify policies, systems, resource allocations etc., in order to remove barriers and meet customer needs.
  • Coordinate and lead interviews for candidates interested in open positions and participate in interviewing candidates.
  • Develops recruitment initiatives, as well as developing an offering of reward options (tangible, intangible, monetary and non-monetary) for retaining top performers.
  • Effectively uses a variety of techniques (verbal and written) to ensure clear and timely communication to leadership, other IT Directors and customers / IT stakeholders.
  • Establishes and Enforces Team and Individual Accountability.
  • Works with IT leadership to develop and ensure compliance with corporate standards and IT methodology, uses for system/application selection, implementation, upgrades, support and maintenance.
  • Determine the financial, personnel, and equipment resources needed to have an effective functioning team.
  • Assists/leads the selection of new applications, acquisition, and implementation planning.
  • Maintains a high level of awareness and recognition of situations that are possible risk issues and works diligently to mitigate or eliminate risks whenever possible.
  • Manages and leads multiple interrelated projects concurrently as well as manage daily operations.
  • May serve as a project manager for some of the high profile implementations, upgrades and enhancements.
  • Coordinates and involves end-users, impacted department / unit team leaders, as well as participating IT team members for all projects.
  • If applicable, educates and advises peers and other colleagues on existing application functionality and new functionality available in upgrades.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Establishes service level agreements with departments in order to understand and manage expectations of the customer community.
  • Effectively works across departmental lines to achieve desired results and works towards (win-win solutions).
  • Research vendors and service offerings that would add value to LMC stakeholders.
  • Keeps abreast of new developments and trends in the healthcare information technology in order to make recommendations to IT leadership.
  • Directs and manage the Financial Supply Chain Management information systems employees and projects.
  • Facilitate the best practice solution/processes among the ERP operation teams.
  • Acts as a key advisor to executive management in influencing the strategic direction of the ERP systems.
  • Collaborate with functional leaders to set short- and long-term goals for ERP initiatives.
  • Maintains library of Financial and Supply Chain documentation including development of project plans, manuals, in-house diagrams and process flow charts according to the IT departmental standards.
  • Directs the support, implementation and on-going process improvement of the Oracle ERP Product suite and other business related applications.
  • Manages all aspects of business applications for Finance and Supply Chain operation teams
  • Serve as a functional liaison between internal/external customers and the functional team members to ensure effective definition of and delivery of ERP applications.
  • Directs and participates in project management, system analysis, planning and design, product evaluation, configuration and support of ERP business applications.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
