Job Summary

The nurse manager is responsible for the operational functions the nursing unit(s) he/she oversees. All responsibilities are carried out in accordance with the mission, vision, strategic imperatives and standards of the LCHD, American Nurses Association Standards, and in accordance with the provisions set forth by the SC Nurse Practice Act.
 

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing 
Minimum Years of Experience: 3 Years of experience as RN (At least 2 Years should have been in a leadership position)
Substitutable Education & Experience (Optional): Consideration will be given to candidates holding an ADN or Diploma Degree who are currently enrolled in BS in nursing or RN-MSN program with the expectation that BS in nursing degree or completion of BS in nursing coursework is met within 12 months of hire/promotion
Required Certifications/Licensure: Current RN license to practice in the State of South Carolina; National nursing certification in specialty at time of hire (required within 6 months of hire/promotion); Maintains current CPR certification. 
Required Training: None.
