Job Summary
Responsible for monitoring and maintaining general ledger accounts and records for all facilities.
Minimum Qualifications
•Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
•Minimum Years of Experience: None
•Substitutable Education & Experience: Candidates actively pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics will be considered and must obtain eligible Bachelor's Degree within one year of hire into position.
•Required Certifications/Licensure: None
•Required Training: Experience and knowledge of computerized accounting systems
Essential Functions
- Prepare all journal entries necessary to record the transactions of the Facilities.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements of the Facilities.
- Reconcile all accounts receivable detail records to the general ledger control accounts monthly for all the Facilities.
- Prepare and record all allowances to revenue for the Facilities. Analyze allowance percentages and adjust as circumstances dictate.
- Record all intracompany allocations between the Facilities and other units of the Organization.
- Act as a financial adviser to operating management of Facilities. Research questions on financial data and provide answers required for effective monthly financial analysis.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist operating management of the Facilities in preparation of the annual operating budget.
- As developments occur or significant concerns arise, advise and update supervisor and other personnel as appropriate.
- Maintain an optimistic and professional image and exhibit excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers. Show courtesy, compassion, and respect. Conform to service excellence policy and "House Rules."
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by authorized personnel, or as required in an emergency (i.e., fire or disaster).
