Job Summary

Coordinates and/or supervises all aspects of facility support services to include maintenance, inventory control and grounds keeping services for Lexington Medical Center - Lexington. Supervises Environmental Services staff for Lexington Medical Center - Lexington and Lexington Medical Center - Irmo.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Minimum Years of Experience: 1 Year of previous supervisory experience
Substitutable Education & Experience: None.
Required Certifications/Licensure: Must have a valid South Carolina driver’s license.
Required Training: Demonstrated leadership and human relations skills from a previous supervisory position.
Physically able to perform heavy manual labor for an entire work shift and able to operate electrical equipment.

Essential Functions

  • Oversees all aspects of shipping, receiving and inventory control for LMC - Lexington.  Responsible to review purchase orders for accuracy and communicate deficencies with appropriate vendors. Coordinates and receives purchase orders. Maintains open communication with Materials Management.
  • Provides direct oversight and supervision of the Environmental Services staff for LMC - Lexington and LMC - Irmo. Responsible to ensure orientation, training, and annual competencies of the staff. Conducts staff evaluations and reveiws. Effectively recruites, retains and mentors the Environmental Services Staff.
  • Ensures overall cleanliness of LMC - Lexington and LMC - Irmo.
  • Coordinates with  engineering support services for routine and preventive maintenance requirements. Places work orders as necessary and monitors for completion.
  • Coordinates groundskeeping activities for services provided by non-LMC vendors such as Masterclean, Heritage groundskeeping, etc. Coordinates services with the LMC Property Manager and communicates directly with the facilities Director with any concerns or issues to the interior or exterior of the facility.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Trouble shoots facility support and maintenance requirements.
  • Provides support services to physician offices as assigned.
  • Performs quarterly fire drills in accordance with established guidelines. Maintains required fire extinguisher checks. Communicates descrepancies with the Emergency Prepardness Coordinator and Facility Director. 
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by authorized personnel or as required in an emergency, i.e. fire or disaster.
  • Maintains an optimistic and professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers.  Shows courtesy, compassion and respect.
  • Conforms to Service Expectations Policies.
