Job Summary

Under the supervision of the divisional Vice President, plans, evaluates, organizes, directs and controls the overall clinical and operational functions of Lexington Medical Center in Northeast.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in a Health-related or Business-related field. 
Minimum Years of Experience: 3 Years in an administrative or management position.
Substitutable Education & Experience (Optional): A Bachelor's Degree with 3 years of experience can be substituted for a Master’s Degree with 1 year of experience in administrative or management position.
Required Certifications/Licensure: None.
Required Training: Proven ability to effectively maintain positive working relationships with physicians and other clinicians; Ability to develop and analyze complex budgets and financial reports.
 

Essential Functions
  • Oversees the management of all departmental matters, including personnel, department resources, budget/expense management, monthly departmental reports, and other organizational requirements.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and active involvement in the processes affecting Accounts Receivable and Revenue Cycle management.
  • Demonstrates business development skills that yield increased volumes and an ability to communicate and promote the services offered at the Northeast campus.
  • Research medical trends and development to ensure that the services provided are relevant and up-to-date.
  • Develops and maintains positive medical staff relationships and assists in the recruitment of physicians to the area and facility.  
  • Directly responsible for overseeing the development of monthly provider schedules that adequately cover hours of operation.
  • Works closely with Medical Director to develop and maintain policies and protocols ensuring the highest level of quality patient care.
  • Monitors patient concerns and actively engages in activities to resolve concerns in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for maintaining favorable Patient Satisfaction scores, as reported through Press Ganey surveys.
  • Organizes and ensures the implementation of quality and process improvement activities.
  • Ensures that all systems necessary for patient care and operation of the facility are in place, in working order, and managed effectively and efficiently.
  • Ensures the physical plant and facilities are maintained and general upkeep measures are taken.  The Director must demonstrate a complete understanding of the value of the physical appearance of the facilities ensuring it is kept up to the highest standard.
  • Works directly with the Marketing Department in order to create marketing plans and strategies to ensure maximum market exposure of facilities and services with a goal of maximizing the growth of patient service revenue.
  • Participates in community activities in order to professionally promote the Community Medical Center Network.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Will represent LMC and the Community Medical Center network in a positive and responsible manner throughout the Northeast community, by actively attending community functions and participating in committees. (i.e. Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, etc.).
  • Prepares and/or reviews policies and procedures, working closely with clinical staff and physicians, to ensure that patient care activities conform to established standards of care, as well as local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Prepares the annual operating, staffing, and capital budgets for the Northeast campus.
  • Responsible for making daily decisions that may impact major processes with the organization. Must use good/sound judgment in this process and know when to seek advice or input from others.
  • Demonstrates the ability to be trusted and work with highly confidential information.
  • Effectively works with all staff members and providers in a concerted effort to maximize patient satisfaction scores.
  • Works collaboratively with other Directors of the Community Medical Center Network in order to develop network strategies.
  • Strategic thinking, proactive planning, innovation, and follow-through are critical to maintaining the highest quality of care and services for our patients and maintaining the highest quality staff and management.
  • Maintains all Service Expectations related to Lexington Medical Center policy and procedures.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
